Treatment

Yesterday we did the treatment and it's about three guys who go on holiday and find themselves in a room that has a lot of history to it. They start recieving a mysterious call. After numerous calls and threats, the guys start getting worried and start panicking. Each guy starts dying a bloody death and the trailer ends off with a question or thought of "what happens next?"

In the treatment we called it RING but after many arguments we should of gone for Horrorcation because it's a horror and we are on vacation (that was my idea). We also had The Wrong Trip and nearly went for RING, RING but at the moment we have temporarily gone for RING. We have also decided to keep are real names for the trailer.

When we were talking me or Gary had a brainwave and said lets make the trailer in a foreign language and went for portoguese. I have seen a few trailers from different countries and thought they were original. I knew that the other groups were not going to do that and there are ideas could be more predictable. I think our idea is original and our trailer will be the best.

The time me and Gary and Tom swapped scripts with Stuart Ch and Jo

Gary and I did a script which involved a pig flying into a building and having adventures and we swapped the script with Stuart Chapman and Jo Dyson and we had to film their script about a man high on drugs. I was the guy on the drugs and we thought it was okay to film but it took a while to decide who will be in front of the camera.

The next day we edited our script and I thought it was a good idea for the pigs face but it was hard to edit the film because there was random laughing in every scene by Jo or Stuart. Sadly we lost our editing after Gary and I took in turns of the editing. I thought that our script was good not great, but their filming was a disgarce. Apart from the pig face it was a poor effort by the lads. But it was the script in their one was diabolical and was hard to film.

Workshop Exercise

Today my group completed the storyboard, script and treatment Tom King did the treatment, Gary Kleinveldt did the script and I did the Storyboard. The first one I did was rubbish because I couldn't draw a pig so Gary came in and gave me a hand.

We don't know who's group we have got yet because we were doing the finishing touches to the storyboard.

So far we have worked well as a team.

Workshop Film Puzzle 3

I edited as much as I could and thought that I did well with the puzzle. I left out things deliberatley because I thought that the scenes didnt go but when I watched the film it did, so i should put them back in. Apart from that I was pretty much spot on. I did the dialogue and did well with that and even though it wasn't exactly the same as the film I still knew it made sense.

Editing exercise 2

Today I was doing more editing on Brokeback Mountain and found that it was really difficult before the hut scene. Next time I will do dialogue editing.
