EVALUATION FOR THE TRAILER

What do you feel is the most important area of learning that you have taken from this assignment? Look at all the production stages and ask your self which areas of this assignment have given you a new way of thinking or approaching you future projects.

I think the most important area of my learning is working well with my fellow team mates, Gary and me. I have learnt to listen and have a really good input in my ideas. So the most important thing is team work. But too much work can cause distress so with my team I aim us to work hard and play hard to get that balance. So we can have fun in our projects and think positively.

From your finished project what parts are you most happy with? With the same level of consideration what areas do you feel you need to improve on?

I am pleased with the production work for our trailer as Gary and I have learnt from our mistakes that from Frank And Nigel our shots were abysmal, so from that we wanted good shots and a great mix of CU’S and OSS’s. But I am really pleased with our efforts towards our editing which we done really well with and are happy with it, we got our knowledge from other horror trailers and put them towards our own trailer, we added fast clips and originality to the colour of the clips. I put 100% in the trailer.

How well do you think you and your group worked in achieving all the goals that were set by the assignment brief?

I think we did very well in achieving our goals, we knew what we had to do and we were successful in our assignments, we had a head start in the editing and we done a good job. And I think I performed well in the assignments in editing and production.

What would you change or do differently in the next production?

Nothing I can think of because we improved in our production and we did well and put effort in it. If I had to change anything I would try and make everything more stable because some of our shots were wobbly and unstable and might include better actors but we can’t do anything about that.

How does your trailer fit with the look and style of a real example that you looked at in research, think about how your trailer looks and how it is edited.

I think it is nearly perfect as all horror trailers are quick and never show the murderer or monster, and we did what they did. We were influenced by Scream and Hide and Seek and if you compared those trailers to THE CALL3R then it would look like a good effort by us. I can hardly think of any flaws in our project. Maybe some bits and pieces but we don’t have the funds to do that.

Production work for The CALL3R

For the past few days Gary and I did our CALL3R work and we started in the studio and we did okay but we were not proud of our shots so we did them again and it was much better. In the Studio we did a whole range of shots OSS,CU,ECU and Mid-shots. After we revamped the shots we were much happier and confident of our trailer.

The next week we went to the multi-story car park across the road and did a runaway scene and many more including looking confused. We had help from people in our group.
